Michel Bazinet, MD, is Chairman and CEO.  He is responsible for the overall development strategy of the Company, the overview of all operations, fundraising, investors relations, the planning of clinical trials and the execution of the exit strategy. Previously, Dr. Bazinet was the founder and medical director of Mediconsult.  This company was created in April 1996, did a NASDAQ listing in 1999 and was merged with Andrx Corporation in the year 2000.  Prior to his involvement with Mediconsult, Dr. Bazinet worked as assistant professor in the departments of Urology and Oncology at McGill University in Montreal.  He did his medical training at Sherbrooke University, his urology training at McGill University after which he did a 3-year fellowship in human tumor immunology and urologic oncology at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York from 1984 to 1987.  Dr. Bazinet has previously served as a member of the board of directors for 2 public companies and has been a consultant for many biotechnology projects.

Andrew R. Vaillant, Ph.D., is Vice President, Operations and Chief Scientific Officer.  He was one of the original discoverer of REPLICor’s antiviral technology. He directs all technology assessment and research and development activities at REPLICor.  He is also responsible for all internal and outsourced scientific, manufacturing, regulatory and intellectual property activities and has an active role in the design, conduct and oversight of clinical trials.  He previously held positions in two biotechnology companies.  He was a postdoctoral fellow at the Montreal Neurological Institute and holds a Ph.D. in Cell Biology and a B.Sc. in Biology (Summa Cum Laude) from the University of Ottawa.

Léo Bazinet, B.A.A., is Vice President Administration.  He has 27 years of experience in administration, marketing and finance in the private sector.  He has a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from the University of Quebec in Montreal.
